Three new cameras have been installed in the Kounose area.

Two cameras at Ebirase Sharyo

On June 24th, with the cooperation of Mr. Ebirase of Ebirase Jidosha in the Kannose area, we set up an ATOM camera on the roof of our garage, where we work.

We also replaced the Wi-Fi that was used in the garage with new one, and the camera now captures clear images of two locations: the Kuma River and the mouth of the Kawauchi River.

The installation at high altitudes required careful work, as the strong winds had to blow the equipment around.

This time, it was a temporary installation, so instead of the fixed work that requires an electrician's license, we installed it in a way that tied it to the gutter. In the future, we plan to install this together with an engineer.

After having Mr. Ebirase check the camera, we adjusted the angle and direction and set it up so that it could be viewed in the event of heavy rain.

One camera in the Oiwa area

In the afternoon, we set up cameras in the Oiwa area, upstream of the Kawauchi River.

With the cooperation of Mr. Hamamoto, who lives in the Oiwa area and lent us his land, the ATOM camera was installed with solar panels and independent power.

By the third time, I had become used to it and was able to finish quickly, even though I was working in the rain.

The Oiwa district is near where a nearby mountain collapsed, causing a mudslide.

It is hoped that the installation of these cameras will make it possible to get a clearer view of the river and bridges.

Also, as a solution to the problem of the Wi-Fi router stopping communication after a day,

  1. Charge your Wi-Fi directly without a solar charge controller

  2. Set your Wi-Fi router to reboot once a day

I decided to try these two methods this time.

We'll continue to monitor the situation to see if it works.
